The Philips FR2 and FR2+ have the ability to allow EMS and ER Physicians access to important patient ECG Data during an entire event, the number of shocks required and administered, when CPR was commenced as long as the Data Card was inserted in the FR2 before the device was turned on. The Philips HeartStart FR2+ AED does show a patient summary on its LCD screen after an event, but it doesn't include the features above that are so helpful to the patient and doctor. The only way to retrieve this data is through the Philips HeartStart FR2+ AED Data Card and Tray.
The FR2+ can also be configured to record audio during a sudden cardiac arrest event. Additionally, the Data Card will automatically record incident data the next time you turn on your Philips HeartStart FR2+ AED.
The data card holds approximately 8 hours of incident and ECG information, or one hour with voice recording. One card can hold data from multiple cases. A flash data card reader enables data transfer from the card to a personal computer for use with HeartStart Event Review data management software.
