Additionally, this battery pack comes with a 9V Lithium battery that is inserted into the pack that powers the AEDs daily, weekly and monthly self-tests. This feature preserves and allocates the battery Pack’s power to the real work it is intended for – being rescue-ready to deliver life-saving defibrillation in environments that require the additional shock capacity. Because Defibtech AEDs run on batteries only, it is advisable to have extra batteries on hand.
