Grand Ledge is working toward HeartSafe Community designation because we believe preparedness is a civic responsibility. The LIFEPAK CR2 is the device at the center of that effort, designed to be used by anyone, anywhere, under any conditions.
What It Means to Be a HeartSafe Community.
HeartSafe Community is a designation program created by the Citizen CPR Foundation that recognizes communities committed to reducing sudden cardiac arrest fatalities through coordinated public training, AED placement, and community readiness infrastructure.
Grand Ledge is actively working toward this designation under the leadership of the Grand Ledge Area Emergency Services Authority. The initiative coordinates CPR training, public AED placement, and community education to ensure that when cardiac arrest occurs, the community is equipped to respond.
