Philips FR2+ Rechargeable Battery

Hospital and EMS environments are considered “high use” environments. This pace of environment and frequent use can consume the useful life of an AED battery in a short period of time. The Philips FR2 Rechargeable battery may be the best and most economical solution for this situation. (If your AED is not in this environment but rather one that is likely not to be used frequently, you can choose the long- life non-rechargeable lithium battery.)

Note: To use with an older FR2, the FR2 must be upgraded. Please contact Philips Customer Service at
(800) 263-3342 to verify your AED’s compatibility. FR2 AEDs shipped after 2/1/2002 have the upgraded
software to 1.5 or higher which is indicated by the "+” designation (FR2+).

The Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery fully charges in 3 hours and can provide 100 shocks or 5 hours of
ECG display time. The fuel gauge on the FR2+ displays the battery’s available power.
Each AED should have a charger and extra battery to ensure that each AED is ready, and has back-up
power covered.
